Bookings Now Live for Festive Night Tour

Reservations are now available for the Barcelona Christmas Tour, a double-decker open-top bus service offering panoramic views of the city’s festive illuminations. The tour, jointly promoted by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) and Turisme de Barcelona, will run from Thursday 26th November 2026 to Monday 4th January 2027, operating daily except on 24th, 25th, and 31st December and 1st January. Passengers will depart from Plaça de Catalunya, at the Barcelona Bus Turístic Red Route stop near El Corte Inglés, with services scheduled between 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM. Each tour lasts approximately 90 to 35 minutes.

Route and Accessibility Features

The route includes some of Barcelona’s most iconic illuminated landmarks, such as Passeig de Gràcia, Avinguda Diagonal, the Sagrada Família, Arc de Triomf, Casa Batlló, and the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau. This year’s itinerary includes an expanded section along Avinguda Diagonal, offering enhanced views of the city’s Christmas lighting displays. The bus features live commentary in Catalan, Spanish, and English from official tourist guides, explaining both the sights and Catalan Christmas traditions such as the Caga Tió and the Galets soup. A festive music playlist is also available via TMB’s Spotify profile. The vehicle is fully accessible, with adaptations for people with reduced mobility and hearing impairments, and offers free Wi-Fi and headphones for the audio guide.

"With the Barcelona Christmas Tour, you can enjoy a night ride discovering the city's Christmas atmosphere, especially decorated and illuminated for the holidays," states the official TMB website.

Tickets and Booking Information

Tickets are priced at €15 for adults (aged 13 and over) and €10 for children aged 4 to 12. Children under 4 travel free but require a reservation. Bookings must be made in advance via the Barcelona Bus Turístic website, and confirmation must be shown on a mobile device or in print upon arrival. Passengers are advised to arrive at the Plaça de Catalunya meeting point at least 20 minutes before departure. Seats are unassigned and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority access to the upper deck. This seasonal service has previously seen high demand, with Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona noting in past announcements that tickets sold out quickly after launch, prompting expanded capacity in previous years.
