Barna.News is the English-language daily for people who live, work, or are moving to Barcelona. We publish 25–40 stories a day on local politics that affects residents, transport, housing, food, culture, and what's on. We are the publication that covers the city the other English outlets ignore.

Who we are
Barna.News is published by Pub.cat, a Barcelona-based media company founded by Owen Hughes in 2026. Pub.cat operates a portfolio of English-language news sites; Barna.News is the flagship.
Our newsroom runs on a custom AI editorial system — we are AI-native and transparent about it. Every article on Barna.News is researched, drafted, and reviewed by our AI editorial team, working from primary sources (official press releases, public records, named publications).
