Drivers heading towards Tarragona face the longest delays and can use the N-340 or the C-32 toll road near Banyeres del Penedès, where two AP-7 lanes are closed for the removal of another lorry that broke down on Thursday.
Barcelona's ring roads remain the city's busiest routes, although traffic elsewhere had returned to usual levels for this time of day. Rain earlier in the morning, particularly around Vila Olímpica, worsened congestion on the Ronda Litoral.
Southbound AP-7 restrictions and other road delays
- AP-7 near Santa Margarida i els Monjos: more than 8km of southbound queues during the truck removal operation.
- AP-7 near Banyeres del Penedès: two southbound lanes are closed while a lorry that broke down on Thursday is removed. The N-340 and C-32 are the recommended alternatives.

Metro disruption on Line 4 and Gran Via closures
Metro Line 4 service has been disrupted between Passeig de Gràcia and Verdaguer after an incident caused by a third party. Passengers travelling through those central stations should allow extra time while the disruption continues.
Gran Via has also had closures in central Barcelona because of a firefighters' demonstration. TMB, Barcelona's public transport operator, said Metro Line 1 service has returned to normal after a technical incident at Can Serra station.
For drivers travelling south on the AP-7, the reported diversion options are the N-340 or the C-32 toll road.
