109 free concerts across Barcelona
Artists from around 30 countries are due to take part in the festival programme, which spans pop, rock, rumba, flamenco, electronic music, jazz, folk, post-punk and urban music.
Gisela Sais, director of Música Mercè, described the 2026 programme as “cross-disciplinary” in its treatment of genres and said it places “music in capital letters” at its centre.
“A vocation that is open, plural and diverse.”
Festival organisers say the programme is intended to represent the cultural diversity and range of accents found in Barcelona today. The five-day event includes 34 Música Mercè concerts, which will be Sais's final edition as director of that strand of the festival.
