Building a Horizon. Barcelona and Gaza, a Bridge to the Mediterranean opened at Oliva Artés, a venue of the Barcelona History Museum, on Thursday 5th November and will remain on display until 13th December.

The exhibition gives Barcelona residents and visitors a fixed opportunity to visit a municipal cultural event focused on the relationship between Barcelona and Gaza, from today until December 13th. Oliva Artés is at Carrer d'Espronceda, 142–146.

Barcelona City Council announced the opening on Thursday, following a presentation scheduled at the venue for 12:00. The official notice identifies Oliva Artés as part of the Museu d’Història de Barcelona, the city’s history museum.

Exhibition runs until 13th December

The council’s notice confirms the exhibition dates and location:

  • Opening date: Thursday 5th November 2026.
  • Closing date: 13th December 2026.
  • Venue: Oliva Artés, Museu d’Història de Barcelona, Carrer d'Espronceda 142–146.

The title presents the exhibition as a bridge to the Mediterranean between Barcelona and Gaza. Its public opening places the subject within Barcelona’s municipal museum network, rather than at a temporary commercial venue.

For people living or working near the former industrial area around Carrer d'Espronceda, the exhibition adds a time-limited museum visit at Oliva Artés through the first half of December. Visitors travelling from elsewhere in the city should use the venue address supplied by Barcelona City Council when planning their journey.

Oliva Artés hosted the presentation at 12:00 on Thursday 5th November, according to the council’s notice issued on 4th November. The later council announcement published on 5th November states that the exhibition has been inaugurated.

The timing matters for residents seeking cultural activities with confirmed dates: the display is already open, and the published end date is 13th December. The council material does not set out admission arrangements, daily opening hours, guided visits or a booking system.

Barcelona City Council’s opening notice names Oliva Artés as the place to check for the exhibition’s confirmed location and dates. The council’s earlier event notice gives the same address for the presentation.

The show’s arrival at a Barcelona History Museum space gives the city’s residents a local setting in which to encounter the stated Barcelona-Gaza connection. It also puts the exhibition on a clear public timetable: it began on 5th November and is due to finish on 13th December.

Visitors planning to attend can go to Oliva Artés at Carrer d'Espronceda 142–146 before the closing date. Barcelona City Council has confirmed the venue and the exhibition period, from 5th November to 13th December.
