Hostafrancs Festival Set for October

The annual Hostafrancs Festival will take place from Friday 2 October to Sunday 11 October 2026 in the Sants-Montjuïc district of Barcelona. Organised by local associations and supported by the Barcelona City Council, the event celebrates the cultural identity of the Hostafrancs neighbourhood through a mix of historic traditions and contemporary activities. Residents and visitors can expect over 60 events across the 10-day celebration, including long-standing highlights like the Ball de rams (Bouquet Dance) and the Fira de la Magrana (Pomegranate Fair), alongside newer initiatives designed to engage people of all ages.

Local Artist Designs Festival Poster

This year’s official festival poster was created by José Alegre, an illustrator, art director, and resident of Hostafrancs. His vibrant design captures the festive spirit of the event and features architectural elements from the neighbourhood. The poster was selected through the 22nd edition of the Hostafrancs Festa Major Poster Competition, organised by the Sants-Montjuïc district as part of its community engagement efforts.

The festival is a space for participation, culture, and neighbourhood pride.

Activities will be held in various streets and squares throughout Hostafrancs. While the full programme has not yet been published, details are expected to be released soon on the official Ajuntament de Barcelona website.
