The Cicle Gaudí, organised by the Barcelona Provincial Council, returns in September 2026 with screenings of Tres adioses, the 2025 drama directed by Catalan filmmaker Isabel Coixet. The film, based on Michela Murgia’s book Tre ciotole, will be shown across multiple municipalities in Catalonia as part of the annual circuit promoting Catalan and co-produced cinema.
Tres adioses is an Italian-Spanish co-production starring Alba Rohrwacher and Elio Germano, following a couple whose relationship fractures after a minor argument. As their lives diverge, one retreating into his work as a chef, the other confronting a serious health diagnosis, the film explores grief, resilience, and the urgency of living fully. The original version features Italian and Spanish dialogue, presented with subtitles in screenings.
Screenings Across Catalonia
One confirmed screening takes place on Thursday 17 September 2026 at 8:00 PM at Teatre de Blanes, located in the Costa Brava Sud circuit. Tickets are priced from €4.50 and can be purchased online via teatredelacostabravasud.cat or in person at Casa Saladrigas (Blanes) and the theatre box office one hour before the event.
The full 2026 programme includes additional venues such as Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Tarragona, with support from local councils including Diputació de Tarragona. The circuit collaborates annually with cultural districts, including Pantalla Barcelona Districte Cultural, to expand access to independent and regional films.
Production and Release Background
Tres adioses had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on 8 September 2025 and was selected as the opening film of the 70th Valladolid International Film Festival. It received its European premiere in Spain and was theatrically released nationwide on 6 February 2026.

Bteam Prods, based in Barcelona, served as one of the lead production companies. The film runs for approximately 110 to 120 minutes, depending on the source, and features original music by Alfonso de Vilallonga and cinematography by Guido Michelotti.
