Families in Barcelona have until August 31 to take advantage of a free admission offer for children at White Rabbit – The Off Museum, an immersive cultural experience located at 55 Passeig de Gràcia. Children aged 0 to 12 who reside in Catalonia can enter both White Rabbit and House of Candy at no cost when accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket, according to the museum’s official admissions policy.
The promotion allows a maximum of two free children per adult. The experience, described as an 'off-museum', replaces traditional exhibits with 10 interactive installations that reinterpret Catalan culture through contemporary art, virtual reality, and multimedia technology. Visitors can step into reimaginings of local traditions such as castellers (human towers), correfocs (fire runs), Sant Jordi, and the Sant Joan bonfire, as well as iconic elements like Gaudí’s trencadís mosaics and the Montjuïc fountains.

Interactive Art and Technology
One standout installation, Esclat, uses artificial intelligence to dynamically reinterpret Gaudí’s stained glass, trencadís, and Montjuïc light shows, shifting in real time as visitors observe. Another room features virtual reality that places users inside Catalan festivals, offering an immersive way to experience traditions often missed outside of their seasonal dates.
The space occupies 1,300 square metres beneath the former Bulevard Rosa shopping arcade, which opened in 1978 and closed in 2018. After an eight-month renovation led by Enrique (Kike) Vives, grandson of the original developer, White Rabbit opened on May 11, 2024, transforming the underground complex into a high-tech cultural venue.
Practical Information
White Rabbit is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00, with last entry at 19:00. Children of all ages are welcome, though the VR room is recommended for those aged 8 and over due to headset fit and safety. The nearest metro stations are Diagonal (lines L3 and L5), and bus lines 7, 22, 24, and H10 also serve the area.
Visitors can purchase a combined ticket for both White Rabbit and House of Candy, which allows flexible entry on any day. An on-site shop offers ice cream and specialty coffee in collaboration with Parallelo Gelato and Hidden Coffee Roasters.
