Local Festival Offers Week-Long Community Events
The Festa Major del barri de la Mercè 2026 will take place from 22 to 27 September in the Mercè neighbourhood of Pedralbes, within Barcelona’s Les Corts district. Organised by the Associació de Veïns de Nostra Senyora de la Mercè, the festivities run parallel to the city-wide La Mercè festival and offer residents a community-focused alternative close to home. The area, located between Ardena, Joan d'Alòs, and Torrent Barrina streets and the Finestrelles path, will host a series of events across public streets and local facilities.

- Tuesday 22 September – 8pm: Adult football match
- Wednesday 23 September – 10pm: Music and dancing
- Thursday 24 September – 5pm: Inflatables for children; 5:30pm: Neighbourhood run; 6:30pm: Castells (human towers) training
- Friday 25 September – 6:30pm: Children’s Olympics; 7pm: Themed afternoon and party; 10pm: Music and dancing
- Saturday 26 September – 11am: Children’s football; 5pm: Family cooking workshop; 8pm: Cake competition; 9pm: Community dinner; 11pm: Music and dancing
- Sunday 27 September – 2pm: Popular paella lunch; 4pm: Castells competition; 5:30pm: Snack, bingo, and prize-giving

The Mercè neighbourhood festival provides a community refuge during the city’s larger festivities, offering inclusive, family-friendly events for local residents.
All events will take place in and around Plaça del Coll de Finestrelles, 1, the designated neighbourhood hub for the celebrations.
