New Industry Zones to Highlight Connected Tech

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2027 will feature three new dedicated technology zones focused on the automotive, health, and aviation industries, organisers have confirmed. The event will take place at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona from 1 to 4 March 2027, with the new spaces designed to showcase real-world applications of connected technology and emerging innovations.

AI, Robotics and Satellite Tech in Focus

Artificial intelligence, advanced robotics, and non-terrestrial satellite networks will be central themes across the exhibition. Amazon Web Services (AWS), ElevenLabs, and HP Inc. will join as new exhibitors, while returning companies including Nokia, KDDI, Agibot, and Unitree will occupy expanded stands.

The conference programme will be structured around six key themes: network infrastructure evolution, large-scale AI deployment, autonomous enterprise management, digital security, sovereign and quantum AI, and next-generation technologies such as spatial computing and advanced interfaces.

Startup and Talent Events Return

Established events will continue alongside the new zones. 4YFN, the startup-focused gathering, will return to Hall 8, while the Talent Arena will be held at Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc. The Sports Tomorrow Congress and the GSMA Ministerial Programme, the global forum for digital policy debate, are also confirmed.

MWC 2027 adds new internationally relevant companies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), ElevenLabs, and HP Inc.

Sianne Ryder, Chief Events & Industry Services Officer at GSMA Ltd., said MWC remains the premier global meeting point for the technology community. Companies can now book exhibition space and apply to speak at the event via the official MWC website.
