Foodie Black Week BCN will return from Monday 9 November to Sunday 15 November, with more than 450 restaurants, bars and cocktail venues expected to run discounts, set menus and other promotions in Barcelona and neighbouring metropolitan municipalities.

For diners, the week will provide time-limited offers at participating hospitality businesses during the autumn low season. Organisers said at a presentation on Wednesday 30 September at Mirador Torre Glòries that they aim to draw more than 200,000 diners and generate almost €6 million in economic activity.

Metropolitan area added for fourth edition

The organisers said this fourth edition will extend beyond Barcelona into municipalities in the metropolitan area. The event reached the 450-venue figure in 2025, according to the presentation.

Miramontes said the programme is intended to include both lower-cost options and more elaborate dining, ranging from tastings and tapas to informal meals.

Public bodies and hospitality groups back the event

The event has support from the Generalitat, Catalonia's regional government; the Diputació de Barcelona, the provincial council; and Barcelona City Council, the city's municipal authority. Other supporters named by organisers include the national Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food's Alimentos de España programme, Barcelona Comerç, the Boqueria market and hospitality-sector organisations.

Joan Godia, the Generalitat's director general for agri-food businesses, quality and gastronomy, said Catalonia has 61 Michelin-recognised restaurants, the highest total among Spain's regions.

Businesses can join without charge and submit their own offers through the Foodie Black Week BCN official website. Diners will be able to use the event dates, 9 to 15 November, to seek out promotions at participating venues in Barcelona and the metropolitan area.
