CE Europa will host UE Sant Andreu at RCDE Stadium in Cornellà-El Prat on Saturday 14th November, with kick-off at 18:30. Sources close to Europa expect around 12,000 spectators for the football derby, L'Independent de Gràcia reports.
Supporters will need to travel to Espanyol's stadium rather than either club's usual ground. Europa members can buy tickets for €15, while general admission costs €25. Sant Andreu has an allocation of 3,000 seats at €18 each, exclusively for its members.
Europa confirmed the venue on Monday. More than 6,000 tickets had already been sold when L'Independent de Gràcia went to press; the figure is not a count of attendance at the match, which is still to come.
The RCDE Stadium announcement confirms that the venue will host the derby. Only the lower tier will be opened, with a maximum capacity of 14,000, according to the match listing published by Planomato.
Ticket prices and supporter sections
Europa supporters will be seated in the Cornellà end, the side stand and the east stand. The Prat end will be reserved for Sant Andreu supporters.
Planomato lists several ways to buy tickets and additional prices:
- Europa members and their companions can obtain a code at Derbi.ceeuropa.cat for €15 tickets.
- General admission tickets cost €25 and are sold through RCD Espanyol's website.
- Espanyol season-ticket holders can buy a package of 10 tickets at €20 each.
- Children under five enter free, while tickets for five to 12-year-olds cost €5.
Europa will give a shirt worn by a first-team player this season or last season to members who buy 10 tickets. Gràcia organisations buying 20 or more will receive a public mention over the stadium loudspeaker and visibility on the pitch.
The derby will be played at Espanyol's ground because natural grass is compulsory in Primera RFEF, the competition in which the teams meet, according to Planomato. Europa's home ground at Can Dragó and Sant Andreu's Narcís Sala both have artificial pitches.
Europa prepare for Atlético de Madrid B
Before the derby, Europa's men's team will host Atlético de Madrid B on Sunday at 12:00. The visitors are 14th in the standings and have gone seven games without a win, although Europa coach Luis Blanco has warned of their potential.
Blanco's side lost 3-0 away in Ibiza in their fourth away defeat of the season. The coach has worked on attacking play this week and asked his players to take a step forward.
“I believe we still have shortcomings in the opponent's area and also in our own, but we have to seek this improvement,” Blanco said.
Blanco said Europa would need to impose their game against the Madrid side. He also expects Flavio and Tito to return for the match.
Can Dragó's pitch was in poor condition at the start of the week and has been reseeded. Europa will play on it for the first time on Sunday, having been unable to train there beforehand, L'Independent de Gràcia reports.
Blanco also offered condolences to the family of Tenerife striker Jesús de Miguel and to the club after the player's death. Tito had been part of the Tenerife team. Blanco described the death as a “brutal fatality”.
Women's cup match moved to 12th November
Europa's women's team will face Deportivo de A Coruña in the third round of the Copa de la Reina, Spain's women's football cup, on Thursday 12th November at 20:00. The match had been scheduled for 20:00 on Thursday 5th November.
The Real Federación Española de Fútbol, Spain's football federation, announced the revised date on 5th November after cup fixtures were postponed following De Miguel's death. Deportivo also confirmed the new date and kick-off time.
Deportivo are ninth in Liga F, Spain's top women's league, and have taken six points from their last three matches. Europa have no league match before the cup tie, while Deportivo have one on Monday.
Nany's Europa side will go into the cup match after a 1-0 win over Levante B, who were in the relegation zone.
