L4 Service Suspended in Sant Martí District
Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) has suspended train service on the southern section of the L4 (yellow) line this Monday, 28 September 2026, due to an incident affecting operations. The closure spans eight stations between La Pau and Bogatell, cutting off rail access for residents and commuters in Besòs, Maresme, and Poblenou. Normal service is currently operating only between Bogatell and Trinitat Nova.
Commuters Urged to Use Alternatives
The L4 line is one of the busiest in the network, carrying approximately 61.6 million passengers annually according to TMB data. The affected stretch is critical for daily travel to the 22@ technology district and central Barcelona. To assist stranded passengers, TMB has activated customer service channels and recommends using surface bus lines, tram services, or connections with other metro lines to bypass the disruption.
