The 63rd Barcelona International Boat Show will bring more than 200 vessels, 170 direct exhibitors and over 300 represented brands to the Moll de la Fusta and Marina Port Vell quays from Wednesday 14 to Sunday 18 October.

For Barcelona residents and visitors interested in boating, water sports or the city’s waterfront, the five-day event will offer boat displays and on-water product demonstrations at Port Vell. Fira de Barcelona describes the show as Spain’s leading nautical trade fair and one of Europe’s most important, placing Barcelona’s port at the centre of a major industry gathering.

Boats, brands and new visitor areas

The show is organised by Fira de Barcelona with the Spanish National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), the industry association representing nautical businesses. It will feature vessels across different size categories, including one of the largest catamaran displays on the European boating exhibition calendar, according to Fira de Barcelona’s 30 September announcement.

  • More than 200 boats will be on display.
  • 170 direct exhibitors are due to take part.
  • More than 300 national and international brands will be represented.

Moll de la Fusta will host the SeaMotion programme, including Experience Water, a new area for demonstrations on the water of nautical products and accessories.

The new Indoor Pavilion will include zones on marina and harbour facilities, as well as diving, shopping and water sports. The programme will also expand test sailings for potential buyers and include the Barcelona International Rowing Trophy.

“We are facing one of the finest editions of recent years, with an exceptional offering in terms of quality, diversity of models and range of boat sizes.”Luis Conde, president of the Barcelona International Boat Show

Port, city and accessible sailing on conference agenda

Marina Port Vell will host Ágora-Port, the professional conference programme, from 14 to 16 October. It is coordinated by the Port of Barcelona and Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, an organisation bringing together businesses and institutions in the city’s maritime sector.

Fira de Barcelona says 25 speakers will address nautical training, the relationship between ports and cities, new forms of recreational boating and the future of accessible sailing.
