The Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating a reported sexual assault on a young woman in the El Sot industrial estate in Sant Adrià de Besòs. The incident occurred on Sunday, 27 September at around 06:15 in Carrer de Gravina, according to police sources confirmed to ACN and reported by elCaso.cat.
The victim, who was found semi-naked from the waist down and covered in blood, told workers at a nearby industrial unit that two men had raped her. Employees from a company in the area heard her cries for help and called emergency services on the 112 number at approximately 06:30. They sheltered the woman inside their facility until officers from the Mossos and medical teams from the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) arrived.
Mossos launch criminal investigation
The Divisió d'Investigació Criminal (DIC) of the Mossos has taken charge of the case. Officers conducted a search of the area, which lies on the border between Sant Adrià de Besòs and Badalona, but no suspects have been identified or arrested so far. The investigation remains open, and authorities have not released further details to protect the victim’s privacy.
The victim was assisted at the scene before being transferred to hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Local businesses demand increased patrols
The attack has sparked concern among companies operating in the El Sot industrial estate. Some firms have already begun organising transport arrangements to ensure female employees do not walk alone to public transport stops or vehicles after shifts. Others have formally requested that the Sant Adrià de Besòs City Council increase police presence in the area, particularly during early morning and evening hours.
