Robberies across two municipalities
The Mossos d'Esquadra are searching for two men suspected of carrying out three robberies with violence and intimidation in Barcelona and Sant Cugat del Vallès between Saturday night and Sunday morning, 10 to 11 October 2026. The suspects used a stolen motorcycle and a firearm to threaten victims, according to initial reports from ElCaso.com, which first detailed the incidents. The first attempted robbery occurred around 22:00 on Saturday, 10 October, on Carrer de les Escoles Pies in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district of Barcelona. The suspects approached a pedestrian and threatened them with a pistol but fled without stealing anything.
Attacks in Sant Cugat and return to Barcelona
At around 01:00 on Sunday, the same suspects were seen in Sant Cugat del Vallès, where they snatched four mobile phones and some clothing from multiple victims using the same method. They then returned to Barcelona, possibly for unknown reasons still under investigation, and at approximately 04:00 on Carrer del Doctor Carulla, close to the site of the first attempt, threatened another person and stole a mobile phone. The firearm used is believed to be a replica, though authorities have not yet confirmed this detail. The motorcycle used in the attacks was reported stolen, a tactic that may hinder the investigation by obscuring the suspects’ identities.
The Catalan police have launched a manhunt for two individuals accused of three crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation, one of them attempted, committed within a single night.
Residents in the affected areas are urged to remain vigilant. Anyone with information is advised to contact the Mossos d'Esquadra through their online reporting system or visit a local police station.
