Joint Operation Targets Security and Compliance

On Saturday 17 October 2026, Gavà Municipal Police and the Mossos d'Esquadra conducted a joint administrative inspection at a premises in the Baix Llobregat municipality. The operation aimed to reinforce public safety and ensure compliance with civic regulations. The intervention took place overnight and involved a full deployment of officers to inspect the interior and verify the documentation of those present.

61 Identified, One Person Arrested

During the raid, police identified 61 individuals inside the venue at the time of the operation. Searches of the premises and personal pat-downs revealed prohibited weapons and narcotic substances. Four people received citations for possession of drugs and illegal weapons. One individual was arrested on suspicion of resistance and serious disobedience towards law enforcement officers.

These types of joint inspections will continue to ensure coexistence and safety in the area,

said security forces in a statement.

Establishment Faces Penalties for Irregularities

Police also filed an administrative report against the business for operating outside the scope of its licence. Among the irregularities detected was the conduct of activities not authorised under its current opening permit. Such breaches could result in administrative sanctions or the preventive closure of the establishment, according to local regulations. The collaboration between municipal and regional forces reflects ongoing efforts to maintain public order in high-traffic areas. The Gavà Municipal Police, established in 1924, works alongside the Mossos d'Esquadra, Catalonia’s regional police force, under formal coordination agreements to address public security concerns.
