The Mossos d'Esquadra are searching for a suspect after a stabbing in Barcelona's La Bordeta neighbourhood on Friday, 2 October at 6:15 PM. The attack took place on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes near La Campana following an argument between two individuals, according to Sants 3 Ràdio and police sources confirmed to betevé.
One man sustained knife wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been disclosed. No arrests have been made, and investigators are working to identify and locate the attacker.
Recent stabbings in Barcelona
This incident follows a series of knife attacks across the city in recent weeks. On 28 September, a man was stabbed at the Hotel Casa Fuster on Passeig de Gràcia and taken to hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition, as reported by El Caso and confirmed by Mossos d'Esquadra sources to betevé.
During the Diada weekend, five people were injured in separate stabbings, including two minors. On 6 September, three people were stabbed in a flat on Gran Via before the alleged attacker jumped from a fourth-floor balcony and was found critically injured.
