Attack at Five-Star Hotel
A 23-year-old man has been seriously injured following a violent assault at the Hotel Casa Fuster, a five-star Grand Luxury Monument property located on Passeig de Gràcia in central Barcelona. The attack occurred shortly after 17:30 on Monday 28 September 2026. According to El Caso, the victim, a long-term guest of Eastern European origin, was visited by three men in his room. What began as a heated argument escalated into physical violence. The three attackers allegedly beat the man before one of them stabbed him twice in the neck.
Emergency Response and Investigation
Witnesses alerted emergency services, prompting a rapid response. Multiple units from the Mossos d'Esquadra, Catalonia’s regional police force, along with a patrol from Barcelona’s Urban Guard and personnel from the Medical Emergency System (SEM), arrived at the scene via the Rescat emergency communications network. The victim received immediate medical attention and was transported to a nearby hospital. He remains in serious condition, though his life is not in danger.
The Investigation Unit of the Mossos d'Esquadra in the Gràcia district has taken charge of the case and is working to identify and arrest the suspects.
Authorities are reviewing security camera footage from the hotel to trace the attackers, who fled the premises immediately after the assault. The Hotel Casa Fuster has declined to comment on the incident.
