Attack on Via Favència
A man was stabbed in the head during a traffic dispute on Via Favència in Barcelona on Saturday at around 4:00 p.m., according to municipal sources cited by Europa Press. The incident occurred at number 379 of the road, a section along the upper ring road, and the victim was taken to hospital in a minor condition. The attacker, described as another driver involved in the altercation, fled the scene in a white Cupra vehicle. The Barcelona city police, the Guàrdia Urbana, are actively searching for the suspect.
Witnesses reported the two men left their vehicles and argued in the roadway, blocking traffic, including an ambulance with priority lights on, before one produced a knife.
Hospitalised with Minor Injuries
The injured man received initial medical attention from the ambulance that had been delayed at the scene. A second unit from the Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) was dispatched to transport him to a nearby hospital. Medical staff assessed his condition as stable and minor. Police from the Nou Barris Territorial Unit arrived shortly after and began collecting statements from the victim and witnesses. An investigation is ongoing into the cause of the dispute.
