A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the violent death of another man in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Mossos d'Esquadra said on Tuesday, 28 July. Another person was injured in the same incident and taken to hospital.
Regional police received an alert at about 11pm on Monday that a person was in a critical condition on a public street in the Barcelona-area municipality. For residents in the area, the investigation remains active and the circumstances of the incident have not been made public.
Man found dead after late-night alert
Mossos d'Esquadra patrols and units from the Medical Emergency System attended the scene. Officers found a man’s body with clear signs of violence, according to the police.

- A second person was evacuated to hospital after being injured.

Criminal Investigation Division leading inquiry
The Mossos d'Esquadra Criminal Investigation Division has opened an inquiry to establish the origin and circumstances of the incident. The case is subject to judicial secrecy by court order.
