First Edition Outside Madrid

The fifth edition of the Premis Ídolo, Spain’s leading awards for digital content creators, will take place on Wednesday 2nd December 2026 at the Auditori Fòrum of the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB), managed by Fira de Barcelona. This marks the first time the event has left Madrid since its founding in 2022 by influencer Dulceida. The ceremony will be hosted by television presenters Paula Vázquez and Carolina Iglesias, who will lead the red carpet and gala in a venue selected with institutional support from the Government of Catalonia and Barcelona City Council.

New Categories for 2026

This year’s edition introduces two new award categories. The divulgación category recognises creators who use their platforms to share knowledge and generate discussion around social, environmental and public interest topics. Additionally, a new award for content creation in Catalan has been added, reflecting the event’s move to Catalonia. The gala’s theme, Romantic Garden, will guide the dress code, with guests expected to embrace a floral, romantic aesthetic on the red carpet.

How to Watch Live

For the first time, the Premis Ídolo will be streamed live and free to air via RTVE Play, the public broadcaster’s online platform. Dulceida announced the partnership during RTVE Play’s fifth-anniversary gala, calling it a "marvellous novelty" that expands the awards’ reach. The event was originally created to recognise excellence in online content creation, a sector without a major national award until the Premis Ídolo’s launch. Past winners include Ibai Llanos, Laura Escanes, Inés Hernand and Lola Lolita.

It’s a marvellous novelty, having RTVE with us," said Dulceida, founder of the awards.

Nominations have already been announced in several categories, with Ana Molina, Rocío López, Sylvia Ruiz and Marta Pons among those in contention, though the full list has not yet been released.
