50% Discount for Barcelona Empadronats in 2026
Barcelona residents are eligible for a 50% discount on all standard admission tickets to the Sagrada Família throughout 2026, according to an official promotion published by the basilica’s foundation. The offer marks the completion of the tower of Jesus, the final central tower, and commemorates the centenary of architect Antoni Gaudí’s death. The reduced tickets apply to all general admission categories, including visits with or without access to the towers and guided tours. Standard ticket prices range from €21 for seniors to €26 for adults, meaning residents could save up to €13 per ticket.
How to Claim the Discount
To access the discount, residents must email [email protected] at least 48 hours before their intended visit. They must attach proof of residency in the city of Barcelona, such as a photocopy of their official ID or municipal registration certificate (empadronamiento), which confirms their address on the city’s civil register. Tickets under this promotion cannot be purchased online or at the site’s ticket office. Visitors must also present their proof of residency upon entry.
This discount does not apply on top of any other offers or reductions, including those for students, large families, or the unemployed, according to the foundation’s official terms.
Eligibility and Usage Conditions
The offer is valid for all individuals officially registered as residents of Barcelona, regardless of nationality. The discount applies only to individual general admission tickets and is subject to availability on the chosen date and time. The promotion runs from 1 January to 31 December 2026. More details are available on the Sagrada Família’s official residents' promotion page. Residents planning to visit during peak times, such as holidays or weekends, are advised to submit their request well in advance to secure tickets.
