Autumn Gastronomic Event Returns

From Thursday 5th November to Sunday 15th November 2026, Barcelona will host the Hotel Tapa Tour, a festival offering tapas and pairings at 12 five-star hotels across the city. The event, taking place for the first time in autumn, allows locals and visitors to sample high-end cuisine in accessible tapa format without prior reservation. Each participating hotel will serve between two and four tapa options, priced between €12 and €15, available at their bars, terraces, or restaurants. The festival features four main categories: a national tapa paired with wine from the Denomination of Origin (DO) Ribera del Duero, a fusion tapa matched with DO Cava, a signature croquette served with beer or vermouth, and a sweet tapa accompanied by a cocktail.

Three Themed Routes Across the City

To help visitors plan their experience, organisers have designed three walking routes based on proximity:

  • Route 1: Passeig de Gràcia area – Hotel Club 29, Mandarin Oriental Barcelona, Renaissance Barcelona Hotel, and Monument Hotel.
  • Route 2: Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes – Cotton House Hotel, El Palace Barcelona, Almanac Barcelona, and NH Collection Gran Calderón.
  • Route 3: Gothic Quarter – BLESS Barcelona, Kimpton Vividora Barcelona, and The Barcelona EDITION.

Hotel Torre Melina Gran Meliá also participates, offering an in-house experience by prior reservation.

Competition and Culinary Innovation

Two tapa categories will compete for the Premio Tapa Alimentos de España: the Tapa Nacional, showcasing Spanish cuisine with DO Ribera del Duero wines, and the Tapa Fusión, featuring international influences paired with Guarda Superior DO Cava. Twelve wineries from Ribera del Duero are officially involved in the festival, contributing to the curated pairings. The event provides a rare opportunity to access exclusive hotels such as the newly opened Hotel Club 29 and BLESS Barcelona, both making their debut in the festival.

What it means for you: The Hotel Tapa Tour runs from 5th to 15th November 2026. No booking is needed for most venues. Full details on tapas, pairings, and locations are available at liniaxarxa.cat.
