Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) will provide uninterrupted train service on the S2 line between Barcelona Plaça Catalunya and Sabadell Parc del Nord during the principal nights of Sabadell’s Fiesta Mayor in 2026. The extended service is designed to accommodate increased passenger demand during the city’s annual festival celebrations.

The decision follows a pattern of night-time service extensions during major local festivals across the Barcelona-Vallès network. As confirmed by the Generalitat, FGC will run trains throughout the night on key festival dates, mirroring services previously implemented for events in Terrassa, Rubí and Sant Cugat. These measures are part of FGC’s broader strategy to support public transport access during high-attendance civic events.

During the festival nights, the S2 line will maintain regular intervals beyond normal operating hours, allowing residents and visitors to travel safely after late-night festivities. The service adjustment aligns with FGC’s holiday protocols, which include all-night operations on New Year’s Eve across several lines, including the S1, S2 and L6.
