Monday: Temperature Drop and Scattered Showers
Catalonia will see a shift in weather from Monday 2nd November 2026, with a noticeable drop in temperatures and the arrival of scattered showers. According to Meteocat, maximum temperatures will fall slightly to moderately, particularly across inland areas. Showers are expected along the southern coastal and pre-coastal regions during the day, spreading to central Catalonia from mid-afternoon. These will be mostly light, becoming occasionally moderate by evening. While rainfall totals will generally be low, locally higher accumulations are possible.
Tuesday: Rain Spreads and Snow Possible
The weather will deteriorate further on Tuesday 3rd November, when rain is forecast to affect most of the region. A second temperature drop is expected, with minimums falling slightly and maximums decreasing moderately, and significantly in some inland zones. Precipitation will begin in the central coast and pre-coastal areas early in the morning, gradually moving inland. By midday, rain could reach any part of Catalonia, though it is less likely in the Terres de l'Ebre and Val d'Aran.
"La setmana vinent començarà amb un ambient més fred i una inestabilitat que anirà a més. Dimarts la pluja afectarà a més punts del país, i la neu podria fer acte de presència per sobre dels 1.400 m, sobretot al vessant sud del Pirineu."
, Meteocat (@meteocat), 31 October 2026 By late afternoon, rain will ease in the northwest, becoming confined to coastal and eastern areas. Rainfall intensity will be weak to moderate, with 20–50 mm expected in 24 hours in the north of Camp de Tarragona and southern central coast. The snowline will hover around 1,500 metres, potentially dropping during heavier bursts, raising the chance of snow above 1,400 metres, especially on the southern slopes of the Pyrenees. Meteocat also indicates a probable thunderstorm.
What It Means for You
Residents and travellers should prepare for wet and colder conditions from Monday, particularly on Tuesday. Drivers in mountainous areas should monitor conditions for possible snow on higher Pyrenean roads. Outdoor plans may need adjustment, and carrying rain protection is advised.
