Kittens Need Safe Shelter This Autumn
Barcelona-based animal rescue organisation SOS Cuatropatas BCN is appealing for several temporary foster homes to care for a group of young kittens. The kittens are too small to survive on the streets and require immediate protection. The appeal was shared on 12 October 2026 by Barcelona Magazine on Instagram, amplifying SOS Cuatropatas BCN’s urgent request for help.
How to Support the Rescue Effort
Fostering involves opening one’s home to an animal in need while the rescue team works to find a permanent family. Foster carers do not cover the costs, SOS Cuatropatas BCN provides all essentials, including food and veterinary care. Residents who can offer a safe, temporary home are encouraged to contact the organisation directly via their Instagram account @soscuatropatasbcn.
This is the hardest time of year for shelters and abandoned animals
The post stresses the importance of sharing the message widely to increase visibility. Autumn often brings a rise in abandoned animals, placing greater strain on rescue resources.
