From Monday, 31 August to Sunday, 6 September, there will be no metro service between La Sagrera and Bon Pastor on the L9/10 Nord lines as the second phase of construction work begins. This follows the first phase, which ran from 25 June to 30 August and affected only the La Sagrera to Onze de Setembre section.

The works are being carried out by the Department of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition of the Generalitat de Catalunya as part of the project to connect the northern branch of the L9/10 with its central section. The €22.6 million project involves building a large open-air shaft where the L9/L10 tunnel converges with the future extension of the L4 line between La Pau and La Sagrera. Currently, the L9 Nord and L10 Nord lines use the L4 tunnel between the shaft and La Sagrera, as the central section remains non-operational.

Alternative Transport Arrangements

During this closure, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) is providing a substitute bus service covering the affected stations. Buses will run every 6 to 11 minutes on weekdays and every 10 minutes on weekends and holidays, operated by four vehicles on weekdays and two on weekends.

  • Outbound to Bon Pastor: Buses will travel via Av Meridiana, c de Dublín, carrer de Rovira i Virgili, carrer del Pare Manyanet, carrer de Josep Soldevila, carrer del Segre, and carrer de Sant Adrià.
  • Return to Sagrera: Buses will follow Pg Enric Sanchis, c de Josep Finestres, c de Fra Juniper Serra, c de la Formiga, c de Sant Adrià, c de Josep Soldevila, Rambla Onze de Setembre, c Gran de Sant Andreu, and c Garcilaso until reconnecting with Av Meridiana.

Metro connections remain the most efficient alternative, particularly via L1 at Fondo station and L2 at Gorg station. Regular bus lines H8, 34, and 126 also cover parts of the affected corridor.

The substitute bus service ensures continuity for passengers during essential infrastructure upgrades that will enable full integration of the L9/10 network in the future.

Bus schedules mirror regular metro hours:
