Job Fair Aims to Boost Youth Employment

The second edition of the GiraFeina job fair will take place on Wednesday 15 October at the Marie Curie Training Center in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, running from 9:00 to 14:00. Organised by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Santa Coloma de Gramenet City Council through its employment agency Grameimpuls, the event aims to connect young people with local companies seeking talent. Under the slogan "A day to find work", the fair will serve as a meeting point for job seekers looking to improve their skills, update their CVs, prepare for interviews, or apply directly for vacancies. Technical staff will provide on-site guidance and support throughout the day.

New Virtual Reality Zone and Career Talks

This year’s edition introduces a virtual reality space, allowing young attendees to explore Grameimpuls’s training programmes through immersive digital glasses. The fair will also host a conference programme in the centre’s auditorium, featuring sessions on career development, entrepreneurship, and navigating a changing job market. One keynote session, titled "And you, what do you want to BE when you grow up? Tools to build your path in a changing world of work", is scheduled for the morning.

The initiative strengthens institutional collaboration with the business community to generate new employment opportunities for youth.

The first GiraFeina event, held in May 2025, attracted 514 registered participants, 24 companies, and featured 255 job offers, according to the Santa Coloma city council. Full details on the programme and participating companies are available via the GiraFeina official website.
