Power cuts affecting Endesa customers in the Collblanc and la Torrassa neighbourhoods of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat began on 1 July, and some households remained without electricity on the afternoon of 2 July, according to local outlet TOT L'Hospitalet.

The disruption affected Rambla Catalana, Rafael de Campalans and nearby streets. For residents during the heatwave, the immediate consequences included unusable fans and air conditioning, as well as food spoiling in fridges, the outlet reported.

Some customers had recovered their supply by 2 July, while others had not. Endesa installed generator sets to mitigate the fault, according to the report.

How affected customers can check an outage

Customers who need to check whether an interruption is affecting their supply can use Endesa's breakdowns and outages page. Endesa also says incidents and supply status can be reported or checked through its Customer Area.

  • Areas reported as affected: Collblanc and la Torrassa.
  • Named streets: Rambla Catalana and Rafael de Campalans, plus surrounding streets.
  • Reported period: from 1 July, with some customers still without supply on the afternoon of 2 July.

Endesa pledged network work after wider July incidents

On 31 July 2025, El País reported that L'Hospitalet mayor David Quirós had met Endesa to seek renewal of infrastructure following repeated electricity incidents, particularly in the Centre, Bellvitge and la Torrassa neighbourhoods.

Endesa committed to invest about €2 million in 98 measures to digitalise the medium-voltage network and renew low- and medium-voltage cabling, according to that report.
