Girona Est will again host a free summer programme of outdoor music, film and family activities throughout July, with events scheduled each week at the Centre Cívic Onyar and the Casa de les Arts. The programme matters locally for families, residents and young people in the east of the city because all activities are open to the public and concentrated in neighbourhood venues.

The cycle, called Nits al pati, is co-organised by Girona City Council and Fundació Girona Est. It begins on Wednesday 1 July at 8pm at the Casa de les Arts with a concert by Tropiko & Ino, according to the official event information published by the city council and the Source Transparency standards followed by this publication.

Nits al pati returns every Wednesday in July

The main programme will run on Wednesdays and alternate between the two venues in Girona Est.

  • Wednesday 1 July, 8pm: Tropiko & Ino at Casa de les Arts.
  • Wednesday 8 July, 10pm: Open-air cinema at Centre Cívic Onyar.
  • Wednesday 15 July, 8pm: Cor Gospel Girona performs at Centre Cívic Onyar.
  • Wednesday 22 July, 8pm: Emma Yuzz performs at Casa de les Arts.
  • Wednesday 29 July, 8pm: A monologue session closes the cycle at Centre Cívic Onyar.

The city council said Emma Yuzz's set will combine songs from Clementine, her first EP, with reinterpretations of soul, neo-soul, reggae and R&B tracks. Cor Gospel Girona is billed with a repertoire of classic and modern gospel.

Extra free family events at Centre Cívic Onyar

Alongside the Wednesday cycle, Centre Cívic Onyar has scheduled three more free activities during July for children and families in Girona Est.

  • Tuesday 14 July, 11am: Festa de l'Aigua at the Centre Cívic Onyar courtyard, with water games, inflatables and activities for all ages.
  • Tuesday 21 July, 10.30am: Contes d'un aviador, a magic theatre show at Centre Cívic Onyar built around truth and imagination.
  • Tuesday 28 July, 11.30am: Festa de l'Escuma at Plaça de Pablo Ruiz Picasso, with music, dancing and foam.

The Festa de l'Aigua is organised by the Taula de Famílies de Girona Est, part of the Programa Integrant Accions, with the collaboration of the civic centre.
