In Barcelona’s wider metro area, free tai chi sessions are returning to parks across L'Hospitalet from Sunday 29 June to Wednesday 6 August. The city council says the programme is open to all residents and is aimed at physical activity and health.

The sessions are organised by the Ajuntament de L'Hospitalet's Physical Activity and Sports Service. According to the council, classes will run in six neighbourhood parks, Can Cluset, la Remunta, Bellvitge, l'Alhambra, les Planes and la Torrassa, with morning and evening timetables.

The council describes “Taitxí al parc” as a physical activity and health programme for the whole public, with the aim of promoting the benefits of tai chi practice. It is part of the city’s wider public sports offer.

Residents who want to attend should check the official schedule before going, as class times vary by park. The council’s sports pages and programme documents are the primary sources for venue and timetable details, including the official sports page and the programme PDF.

The activity is free and may suit people looking for low-impact exercise close to home, including older adults. For more local coverage of community and sport in the city, readers can also follow our Community and Sport pages.

The announcement was published by L'Hospitalet de Llobregat's official news service and the programme is run by the municipal sports department. Primary sources include the city’s official news portal at l-h.cat and the Ajuntament de L'Hospitalet website.
