Route and Timing Confirmed for Barcelona Demonstration
The 2026 Diada de Catalunya demonstration in Barcelona will take place on Friday 11 September, with two separate columns starting simultaneously at 5:14 PM from different points in the city centre. Organised by Assemblea Nacional Catalana, Òmnium Cultural, Consell de la República, AMI, Intersindical, and CIEMEN, the event carries the slogan 'I AM HERE. WE ARE HERE. INDEPENDENCE.' The first procession, Columna Present (Present Column), will begin at the intersection of Gran Via and Carrer de Casanova. It will proceed via Plaça de la Universitat and Ronda de la Universitat before arriving at Plaça Catalunya. Second Column to Start Near Cathedral
The second group, Columna Futur (Future Column), will start at the same time, 5:14 PM, at the junction of Via Laietana and Plaça de la Catedral. This column will follow Ronda de Sant Pere to its endpoint at Plaça Catalunya. The nearest metro station for this route is Jaume I on line L4.

The mobilisation is decentralised, with parallel events planned in Girona and Amposta.
