Plan Your Visits Using Live Occupancy Data

Thousands of people are expected to attend the 48h Open House Barcelona 2026 festival on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October, an annual event that opens normally inaccessible buildings to the public. With high demand for some of the most iconic sites, queues are common. To help visitors manage waiting times, organisers have introduced a real-time occupancy map showing crowd levels at participating locations. The map uses traffic light colours to indicate how busy each site is:

  • 🟢 Green: low attendance, with up to 30 minutes’ wait
  • 🟡 Yellow: significant crowds, around one hour’s queue
  • 🔴 Red: heavy flow, two hours or more wait
  • Grey: facility closed at that time

The map is updated live and can be accessed via the official 48h Open House Barcelona website or its social media channels.

Visit betevé Without Booking

On Saturday 24 October, from 10:00 to 19:00, the public broadcaster betevé will open its doors as part of the festival. No prior reservation is required to visit the studios.

Explore Architecture Across the Region

The festival includes over 200 buildings across Barcelona and the metropolitan area, including Fabra i Coats: Fàbrica de Creació, which will be open on Sunday 25 October. The initiative is designed to encourage exploration of local architecture on foot, with sites grouped by neighbourhoods and accessible via walking routes. Visitors can plan their itinerary using the interactive map and official programme available online.
