Bless Barcelona, the luxury brand's first hotel in the city, has opened on Plaça de Catalunya with 119 five-star rooms, according to Travel Daily News. The hotel adds capacity to Barcelona's high-end accommodation market at the junction with Passeig de Gràcia, an area of shops, restaurants, Modernist architecture and cultural attractions linked to Antoni Gaudí.

For visitors staying in the city centre, the property places a new hotel beside two of Barcelona's main commercial and visitor areas. For residents and non-resident guests, the hotel has also introduced food, pastry and rooftop venues that are intended to receive customers beyond overnight guests.

Bless Collection Hotels is Palladium Hotel Group's luxury brand. The Barcelona property is its fourth hotel, after sites in Madrid and Ibiza, Focus on Travel News reported.

Hofmann pastries and La Pajarera rooftop

Hofmann began serving artisanal pastries, speciality coffee and sweet products at the hotel on Monday, according to reporting by El Periódico Barcelona. The hotel also includes Sinedie, a Mediterranean dining venue with an extensive wine list, and a drinks programme led by mixologist Adriana Chía.

Its rooftop, La Pajarera, combines music, food and cocktails. The venue is operating with controlled access during its initial soft-opening period while the hotel tests service arrangements, El Periódico Barcelona reported.

  • Location: Plaça de Catalunya, near Passeig de Gràcia.
  • Accommodation: 119 rooms and suites, with a five-star classification.
  • Public venues: Hofmann's pastry and coffee offering, Sinedie and the La Pajarera rooftop.
  • Guest facilities: a gym is scheduled to open in September.

Former Iberostar building enters a new phase

The hotel occupies the building previously used by Iberostar Passeig de Gràcia. The New Barcelona Post reported that the property was the headquarters of Banco Banesto after its 1942 reconstruction, before a later period of disuse and its acquisition by Pontegadea, the investment company owned by Amancio Ortega.

Palladium took over management in 2024 and initially ran the site as 45 Times Barcelona Hotel before refurbishing it under the Bless brand. Travel Daily News reported on 13 August 2026 that the opening marked Palladium's return to Barcelona.

The official inauguration is planned for autumn 2026.
