The AP-7 motorway reopened fully near Sant Cugat del Vallès at 09:45 on Monday 21 September after a collision involving a lorry and two cars, one of which overturned, according to 3CatInfo. Only one southbound lane had remained open, producing queues of up to 19 kilometres from Mollet del Vallès.

Firefighters received the alert at 06:29 and sent four crews to the scene. The vehicles were removed before all lanes reopened.
For drivers travelling into Barcelona, disruption was also reported on the Ronda de Dalt and Ronda del Litoral, two of the city’s major ring roads. A broken-down lorry blocked a lane on the Ronda de Dalt towards Llobregat for more than two hours between exits 10 and 11, causing congestion from the Trinitat interchange to Diagonal.
Further incidents on roads into Barcelona
Another collision later in the morning blocked one lane of the Ronda del Litoral towards Llobregat near the Port of Barcelona. Queues extended from the Trinitat interchange.
- On the C-16, an incident blocked one inbound lane towards Barcelona through the Vallvidrera Tunnels at 09:00, causing about two kilometres of congestion.
- On the AP-7 near L’Ampolla, in the Baix Ebre area, an overturned lorry blocked one northbound lane and caused delays.
- At Borrassà, in Alt Empordà, another collision blocked a southbound lane on the AP-7.
Drivers using the C-16 through the Vallvidrera Tunnels or Barcelona’s ring roads should allow extra time following the incidents reported on Monday morning.
