Taiwanese company TCI, a contract developer and manufacturer of dietary supplements and skincare products for other brands, has invested about €20 million in a manufacturing facility in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. The site is due to become its first production and research and development base in Europe when operations begin in May 2027.
For L'Hospitalet residents, the project is expected to create skilled local jobs, according to Invest in Spain, the national investment-promotion body. Neither Invest in Spain nor El Periódico gives a number of posts or a recruitment timetable.

TCI was founded in 1980 and began manufacturing in 2002. It develops and manufactures finished products for client companies rather than selling consumer brands of its own, Invest in Spain says.
The L'Hospitalet plant is intended to make products formulated, filled and packaged for clients to sell. Planned formats include:
- liquid dietary-supplement sachets;
- functional jellies;
- liquid collagen and magnesium shots; and
- fibre jellies.
TCI says it has developed more than 10,000 products and serves nearly 1,000 brand clients in 68 countries.
Production is scheduled for May 2027
Invest in Spain describes the project as a manufacturing and R&D facility designed to be among Europe’s most intelligent and sustainable nutraceutical factories. The source does not set out construction milestones before the planned start of production in May 2027.
The company’s investment follows its acquisition of the L'Hospitalet manufacturing facility, which is intended to serve as TCI’s first European production and research base.
