Christmas Light Show Returns with New Theme

The illuminated Christmas experience Els Llums de Sant Pau will return to the Recinte Modernista Sant Pau from Thursday 19th November 2026 to Sunday 10th January 2027, running under the theme of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s classic tale The Little Prince. The event, one of Barcelona’s most prominent festive attractions, features thousands of light points, large-format projections, interactive installations, live actors, and puppet shows. Visitors will be able to walk through a transformed Modernist Site, where the story of The Little Prince unfolds through light, sound, and scenery. Handcrafted lantern sculptures, created and painted by hand, will also be installed throughout the site.

Ice Rink Returns, Charity Partnership

A key highlight of this year’s event is the return of the ice rink to the Recinte Modernista for the Christmas season. The site will be open daily from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with extended early opening at 5:30 PM between 5th December 2026 and 7th January 2027. The site is closed on 24th and 31st December 2026 and 5th January 2027. The walking route takes between one and one and a half hours to complete. The event supports the Fundació Villavecchia, a foundation dedicated to childhood oncology, as its beneficiary charity.
