Full Closure for Two Nights

The Túnel de Glòries will be completely closed to traffic in both directions on the nights of Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th October, between 10:30 PM and 5:00 AM the following morning. The closure is required for safety during a film shoot taking place in the tunnel’s emergency exit galleries, according to a statement from the Barcelona City Council.

Diversion Routes in Place

For traffic heading towards the Besòs, vehicles coming from the central carriageway of Gran Via and Via Marina will be diverted along Marina towards the mountains. Buses will remain able to use the lateral sea-side carriageway of Gran Via. Access to the tunnel from Lepant and Padilla streets will also be restricted, with alternative routes provided via the surrounding road network. For traffic approaching from the Llobregat direction, vehicles on the C-31 will be diverted via exit 207 Bac de Roda – Poblenou.

The City Police advise people to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes during the hours of disruption.

What This Means for You

Drivers should anticipate significant delays and plan alternative routes if travelling through the Glòries area during the affected hours. The closure affects one of the city’s busiest through-routes, particularly for cross-town and ring-road traffic. Motorists are advised to check the official Ajuntament de Barcelona mobility page for updates and detailed diversion maps.
