The Festival Terramar Caixabank in Sitges will host a landmark concert on 11 August 2026 as Catalan rock band Sopa de Cabra celebrate 40 years since their formation with a specially curated set at the Jardins de Terramar.
The performance is part of the band’s anniversary tour, which began in May 2026 at Razzmatazz in Barcelona, and forms a centrepiece of the festival’s ninth edition, running from 31 July to 12 August.
Organised by Terra Music & Events, the festival opens on 31 July with Sílvia Pérez Cruz, who will present her new album Oral_Abisal in a concert marking 30 years since the start of her career.
Other confirmed acts include Sergio Dalma, Earth, Wind & Fire Experience by Al McKay, Ara Malikian, and Rosana. The festival closes on 12 August with God Save The Queen, a tribute event commemorating 40 years since Queen’s final concert with Freddie Mercury at Knebworth Park.
Local Cultural Event with Wider Resonance
Residents and visitors in Sitges will have access to a diverse programme that blends music, humour, and local culture. Quim Masferrer will present a live show on 4 August combining comedy and audience interaction, while the Imprescindibles 2026 cycle offers daily performances by local artists in the Village stage before main concerts.
The Jardins de Terramar provide a historic garden setting for the concerts, with gastronomic offerings from Cal Blay enhancing the visitor experience.
Community and Ticketing Information
Each ticket sold contributes €0.50 to charitable causes through the Festival’s solidarity initiative, supporting projects at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona, including paediatric cancer research via the Fundació Ave Maria and Nits de la Lluna Plena.
