Se Acabó la Fiesta (SALF), the party led by Alvise Pérez, says it has secured enough voter endorsements to submit a candidate list in Barcelona for Spain’s general election on 29th November 2026.
For voters in Barcelona, the development means SALF could appear on the ballot in the constituency if the Provincial Electoral Board accepts and later proclaims its application. The party has not yet announced its candidates, and collecting endorsements does not itself make a list final.
SALF said on Friday 23rd October that it had gathered 6,310 endorsements, above the legal requirement for parties without representation in either chamber of the previous parliament. The party said the threshold in Barcelona was 4,399 signatures.
The published electoral timetable says parties in Barcelona that did not win representation at the last general election must obtain support from at least 0.1% of people registered to vote in the constituency. It puts that requirement at 4,400 signatures for Barcelona, a one-signature difference from SALF’s stated figure, which does not affect the party’s claimed total.
“Not only have we gathered a sufficient number of endorsements, but we will also present an electoral list in Barcelona, made up of a committed team eager to end the party for the corrupt,” said Yeray Iglesias, SALF’s organisation secretary.
Candidate names must be filed by 26th October
SALF said it would announce its candidates after submitting its documentation to the Electoral Board. Under the published electoral timetable, candidate lists for Congress and the Senate can be registered until midnight on Monday 26th October.
- Wednesday 28th October: submitted candidacies are due to be published in the Official State Gazette, known as the BOE.
- Monday 2nd November: Provincial Electoral Boards must proclaim the candidacies after reviewing them and allowing corrections.
- Tuesday 3rd November: the proclaimed lists are due to be published in the BOE.
Parties can challenge the proclamation before the administrative court between 4th and 5th November, followed by a possible appeal to Spain’s Constitutional Court.
Endorsements collected across five municipalities
SALF said the signatures were gathered over 14 days in Barcelona, Terrassa, Sabadell, L’Hospitalet and Santa Coloma de Gramenet.
The Ajuntament de Santa Coloma de Gramenet’s 2026 general-election information page says the electoral register for this vote was closed on 1st August 2026. Its period for checking and correcting electoral-register entries ran from 12th to 19th October, with claims due by midday on 20th October.
Barcelona residents will know whether SALF has secured a place on the ballot when the final candidate lists are published in the BOE on Tuesday 3rd November.
