Long Delays After Morning Collision

A multi-vehicle collision on the Ronda del Litoral (B-10) near Montjuïc cemetery caused severe traffic disruption early on Tuesday 20th October 2026. The accident occurred at approximately 6:15am in the lane heading towards Besòs, forcing authorities to close one lane of the ring road. By 8:00am, the queue of stationary vehicles had stretched to six kilometres, according to the Barcelona City Council’s traffic monitoring service. Four Vehicles Involved, Emergency Services Respond

A video posted on X shows four vehicles involved in the crash. Emergency crews from the Guardia Urbana de Barcelona and the Medical Emergency System (SEM) attended the scene to manage traffic and provide medical assistance. The accident occurred at the Morrot de Montjuïc stretch of the B-10, a known bottleneck during peak hours. Drivers are advised to avoid the area or seek alternative routes via the B-23 or N-II until congestion clears. No fatalities have been reported in connection with this morning’s incident. This contrasts with a separate, fatal truck crash on the same road on 3rd September 2026, in which a 58-year-old driver died after his vehicle overturned near Sants-Montjuïc.
