Four Armed Robbers Flee After Stealing Phones in Sant Martí

Robbery at Puigcerdà Street Shop

Four masked men armed with a firearm robbed a shop on Carrer de Puigcerdà in Barcelona’s Sant Martí district on Thursday, 10 September, just before 20:30. The suspects, wearing balaclavas, entered the store and threatened staff with a gun, allowing them to seize approximately 30 mobile phones and several tablets within minutes. No employees were injured during the incident, according to the Mossos d’Esquadra, Catalonia’s regional police force.

Fleeing on Scooters

The suspects fled the scene on two scooters parked directly outside the shop. Their proximity to Gran Via and the municipal border with Sant Adrià de Besòs enabled a rapid escape from the area, preventing immediate interception by police.

The Mossos d’Esquadra have opened an investigation to identify, locate and arrest those responsible.

Police Investigation Underway

Investigators are reviewing security camera footage from the area for clues, though the suspects’ faces were fully covered. Authorities are also working to determine whether the firearm used in the robbery was real or a replica. As of Sunday 13 September, the four suspects remain at large. The Mossos continue their inquiry and have not ruled out links to other recent robberies involving scooters or electronic goods. Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity or information via the Mossos d'Esquadra online reporting system or by making an appointment at a local station.
