In December 2025, First Deputy Mayor Laia Bonet presented a modification to the Urban Planning Commission that would reduce the green rambla to 75% of its original scope, from Plaça Lesseps to Carrer d'Agramunt. The stretch beyond that point, including the area where the 'Casa dels Gossos' stands at the junction of Bolívar Street and Avinguda de la República Argentina, is now proposed for public housing and elderly care services. While no demolition is planned at this stage, the building remains under urbanistic review as part of this redevelopment proposal. The final decision will depend on upcoming planning approvals and potential heritage assessments.
