Bellvitge Prepares for Annual Festival
From 5 to 13 September 2026, the Bellvitge neighbourhood of L'Hospitalet will host its Festa Major, one of the city’s largest community celebrations. Organised by the Bellvitge Festival Committee, the event will feature over 100 activities spanning music, popular culture, sport, and leisure. The programme includes events for all ages and interests, with intergenerational, artistic, and festive activities taking place across the district. While exact details for each day are still being finalised, highlights will include traditional association stalls, live concerts, street performances, and sporting events.
Key Events and Community Participation
Confirmed events include the 35th Bellvitge Cycling Race, the XIII Craft Fair, and the 3rd Street Circus featuring Mundo Costrini at Plaça de les Cultures. A talk on the neighbourhood’s future up to 2030 is also scheduled. On Saturday 13 September, the festival will culminate with the 25th Night Festival in Parc de Bellvitge, running from 10pm to 3am. That evening includes a concert by Dani Flaco and a performance of 1980s cover songs by La Última Jornada at Plaça del Mercat. The 3rd Festa dels Colors will take place in front of the Aldia supermarket at midday, and a marathon organised by L’Hospitalet will begin at 9am in Plaça de la Cultura.
The Festa Major is a cornerstone of community life in Bellvitge, bringing together residents of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate local culture and heritage.
