The affected buildings are along Carrer de Lliçà and Carrer de Castellví, which border forested areas. Protecció Civil issued two ES-Alert messages ordering residents in Torre Baró and Ciutat Meridiana to remain indoors, close doors and windows, and avoid approaching the fire zone. The alerts were sent preventively due to the proximity of the blaze and heavy smoke. ## Fire Response Underway The fire broke out at approximately 15:20 on Tuesday in a scrubland area above the Alta de Roquetes road, near the Canyelles neighbourhood. It has affected around 25 hectares of forest, according to initial reports from Protecció Civil and the Barcelona City Council. Nineteen land-based firefighting units and six aerial teams from the Bombers de la Generalitat are working on the fire, alongside 14 land units from the Bombers de Barcelona. Firefighters are focusing efforts on the right flank of the blaze as it moves uphill. > Protecció Civil has activated the Infocat wildfire response plan in its alert phase, coordinating with local authorities and emergency services. ## Transport and Access Disruptions As a safety measure, Rodalies has suspended stops at Torre Baró station on the R4 line until further notice. Metro services are also skipping Torre Baró-Vallbona and Ciutat Meridiana stations. Bus routes V27, 27, 47, 182 and 227 have had 25 stops cancelled, with services terminating before reaching Collserola. The Guàrdia Urbana is managing traffic closures on the Horta–Cerdanyola road, the Collserola Cemetery road, and the Alta de les Roquetes. The 112 emergency line received 380 calls reporting the fire. ## Institutional Coordination Barcelona City Council has activated its Municipal Emergency Plan in the alert phase. The Guàrdia Urbana deployed immediately to secure the perimeter and regulate movement. Coordination is ongoing with local police forces in Montcada i Reixac and Cerdanyola del Vallès. Due to the fire’s location in an area classified as high-risk for African Swine Fever, rural agents have activated biosecurity protocols.
