## Officers Attacked While Monitoring Suspected Thieves

Two Civil Guards were seriously injured in a shooting on Thursday night in the Can Parellada area of Terrassa, Barcelona. The attack occurred around 10 PM on Europa Street, according to the Unified Association of Civil Guards. The officers were monitoring a group of suspected thieves when four men opened fire in the public street. One officer is reported to be in serious condition following multiple gunshot wounds.

> The agents were carrying out surveillance when they were violently confronted by armed individuals who fired directly at them.

## Video Footage Shows Attack and Assault on Injured Officer

The association shared a video on social media platform X, believed to have been recorded by a local resident, showing the moments of the attack. The footage captures one suspect using a shotgun while others open fire. After the shooting, additional suspects are seen striking a wounded officer lying on the ground with a stick.
