Teachers warn that the 2026–2027 school year will continue under the same conditions unless the government meets their demands. The industrial action coincides with the first day of term for most students across Catalonia, adding pressure on families and transport networks. The Síndic de Greuges, Catalonia’s ombudsman institution, has expressed concern about the impact of such actions, particularly opposing the suspension of school excursions as a form of protest.
