# Super Bowl LXI in Barcelona: 2027 viewing venues

> In brief: Super Bowl LXI takes place on Sunday 14 February 2027\. Viewers in Barcelona will see kick-off at roughly 00:30 on Monday 15 February. Belushi's and George Payne normally shut at about 02:00, though on Super Bowl night in previous years each has remained open until 05:00, and either venue may charge for entry. It is worth phoning ahead to check.

Super Bowl LXI takes place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Los Angeles. The game generally lasts about three and a half hours. On my calculation, the final whistle in Barcelona comes at close to 04:00, which means most bars shut well before it is over. The four venues listed below are the ones I would choose in Barcelona.

## When kick-off happens in Barcelona

The NFL confirms kick-off times only shortly beforehand. Ticket listings indicate 18:30 Eastern time, equivalent to 00:30 in Barcelona. I have seen no official NFL confirmation of that slot, and the stadium's own schedule continues to show TBA. Take it as provisional and verify again in January.

## Belushi's, Carrer de Bergara 3

Belushi's sits beside Plaça de Catalunya, at the head of La Rambla. According to [the venue's website](https://www.belushis.com/barcelona-las-ramblas?ref=barna.news), the NFL features among the sports it screens, and opening hours run from 11:00 to 02:00 every day of the week. Super Bowl watch parties have been held there previously, among them a gathering [reported by The Local in 2023](https://www.thelocal.es/20230210/can-i-watch-the-super-bowl-on-spanish-tv?ref=barna.news). On Super Bowl night in past years the bar has kept going until 05:00, which is why it tops my list if you intend to see the entire game. Entry may require a ticket, so it is worth checking how admission works.

## George Payne in Plaça d'Urquinaona

A spacious sports bar equipped with large screens and projectors. [According to the venue's website](https://www.thegeorgepayne.com/sports-bar-barcelona/?ref=barna.news), NFL coverage is among the sports on offer, doors open at 13:00 daily and closing time is normally between 02:00 and 03:00, and a Super Bowl watch party was advertised in 2025\. On Super Bowl night in previous years it has remained open until 05:00, and entry that evening may require a ticket. Under-18s are not admitted after 20:00, making it an adults-only affair in the evening.

## Cocovail Beer Hall, Carrer d'Aragó 284

A more compact venue offering an extensive craft-beer selection. According to [the bar's website](https://cocovailbeerhall.com/?ref=barna.news), American football is shown here. Its listed Sunday opening times are 13:00 until midnight, which means that on a typical Sunday it would have closed before a 00:30 kick-off. It is worth asking if they stay open late for the match. Reserve a table in advance, and turn up early for major fixtures.

## The Shamrock, Carrer dels Tallers 72

An Irish pub in Ciutat Vella that appears at this address on [Schlouk Map](https://www.schlouk-map.com/en/places/the-shamrock-4?ref=barna.news), [Time Out](https://www.timeout.es/barcelona/es/bares-y-pubs/the-shamrock?ref=barna.news) and [Ireland Before You Die](https://www.irelandbeforeyoudie.com/?p=75803&ref=barna.news). It featured in my earlier round-up of venues for regular NFL games, but the bar's own pages did not let me confirm that it screens the NFL. Call ahead before setting out. On Super Bowl night, I would choose one of the other three instead.

## How to watch on TV in Spain

For the 2026 final, the Spanish TV guide [Roams](https://roams.es/actualidad/telefonia/donde-ver-super-bowl-2026-por-tv-directo-canales-plataformas-horario-patriots-seahawks/?ref=barna.news) reported that Cuatro carried the game free-to-air, while DAZN provided the paid streaming alternative. [Mediaset, Cuatro's owner, renewed its NFL agreement in May 2026](https://files.mediaset.es/file/2026/05/27/cp-renovacion-acuerdo-nfl-eng-pdf%5Fda39.pdf?ref=barna.news). No announcement has been found regarding how the 2027 final will be broadcast in Spain, so it is worth checking the listings in early February.

## What to do

1. Belushi's and George Payne: call seven days ahead to find out if Super Bowl night requires a ticket and when the venue shuts.
2. Reserve a table for the later sitting, as major matches tend to sell out.
3. Confirm the kick-off time once the NFL releases it, likely some point in January.
4. Monday is a working day and the match will not wrap up until roughly 04:00, so expect a very late night.

## What remained unverified

- The start time for LXI. The 18:30 Eastern time is taken from ticketing listings and is an anticipated figure rather than an official one.
- How the 2027 final will be broadcast in Spain.
- Whether The Shamrock screens NFL matches. The bar's own pages make no mention of it.
- Cocovail's opening hours on the night of the Super Bowl.
- The 05:00 closing time at Belushi's and George Payne on Super Bowl night. This is based on my own experience of previous years. Under normal circumstances they close at about 02:00, so check the specific night, and whether a ticket is needed, with the bar.
- The three and a half hour duration is my own estimate and not a published figure.

Verified on 13 October 2026\. Check again in January 2027 for the kick-off time, the Spanish broadcaster and the venue's opening hours.
