The award was presented on Monday, 24 August at 7:30 p.m. at Parc de l'Espanya Industrial, as part of the official festivities programme. Eleven streets and squares across the Sants neighbourhood participated in this year’s contest, transforming the district into an open-air gallery of themed installations. According to organisers, the tradition dates back to 1943 and remains a cornerstone of local identity during the Festa Major. > Valladolid has once again shown extraordinary creativity and community effort in bringing a global historical journey to life on our streets. Carrer de Finlàndia celebrated its 45th consecutive year in the festival with a 'Mad Laboratory' science theme, while Carrer de Galileu invited visitors onto a cinematic Walk of Fame inspired by Hollywood glamour. Alcolea de Dalt recreated the atmosphere of the historic Montjuïc motor-racing circuit, and Alcolea de Baix played on household mysteries with a whimsical 'Lost Sock' motif. At Plaça de la Farga, environmental awareness took centre stage with decorations based on the animated film \*The Lorax\*. --- ## Festival Runs Until 30 August The Festa Major de Sants began on Saturday, 22 August at 8:00 p.m. with an opening speech by actress and film director Leticia Dolera at Parc de l'Espanya Industrial. A parade preceded the ceremony, setting off from Cotxeres de Sants at 7:00 p.m. and winding through the neighbourhood. Other highlights include the Correfoc fire run on Saturday, 29 August, and the final Piromusical fireworks show on Sunday, 30 August at 10:00 p.m., also at the park. Sporting events will take place earlier that day. All activities are publicly accessible, with live sign language interpretation provided for the opening event via Barcelona City Council channels.
